Frederik Riar ist Inhaber der Professur für Entrepreneurship und Strategisches Management an der Universität Liechtenstein. Zuvor war er als Assistant Professor of Management an der Universität Bern sowie als Postdoktorand am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie tätig. Forschungsaufenthalte führten ihn als Visiting Researcher an die Northeastern University in Boston sowie an die University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Seine Promotion absolvierte er an der WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. Neben seiner wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit verfügt er über berufliche Erfahrung in der Managementberatung, der Entwicklung neuer Geschäftsfelder sowie im technologieorientierten Unternehmertum.
