The negotiations with the publishers Springer Nature and SAGE for an extension of the existing Read & Publish Agreements could not be concluded by the deadline of the end of 2025. Even though negotiations are still underway, the year 2026 starts without valid agreements.

This no-deal situation affects members of the University of Liechtenstein—both in terms of reading access to journals and the possibilities for publishing articles in Open Access.
