As part of Design Studio India, world-renowned bamboo expert Jörg Stamm will give a lecture on Tuesday, April 15, at 5:00 p.m. in the atelier.
The lecture is open to the public and will be held in English. Jörg Stamm, a trained carpenter, transferred his knowledge of working with wood to bamboo and has been exploring the potential of this sustainable, lightweight, and incredibly strong material for decades. His most famous works include the Green School in Bali or the Haven Bridge in Medan. Numerous architects work with Jörg Stamm when it comes to the use of bamboo as a building material.
