Das Modul führt in Forschungsmethoden für die Entwurfspraxis ein. In einem ersten Schritt wird ein Überblick der relevanten Forschungsprozesse erarbeitet und kartiert. Im Folgenden fokussiert das Seminar auf Methoden der Literaturrecherche, der Potentiale sozialwissenschaftlicher Forschungsmethoden für den Entwurf sowie den Umgang mit Quellen und Bildrechten bei der Darstellung von Forschungs- und Entwurfsarbeiten. Schliesslich reflektieren die Studierenden die Methoden im Kontext der Projektstudios.

In Form von Vortrag, Projektarbeiten, Übungen, Recherche, Visualisierung, Peerfeedback, Diagrammen, Grafiken, Skizzen, Zeichnungen und Plänen.

Das Lehrmaterial wird den Studierenden semesterweise zur Verfügung gestellt.

The students build up the new Campus Radio of the University of Liechtenstein and learn to plan and implement their own formats and broadcasts.

The Advanced Studio - Sustainable Design concentrates on the design of complex building projects in which the deficits for our society in the future are revealed through in-depth analyses. With the aim of achieving a sustainably good quality of life for individuals and humanity, we use a framework of five pairs of needs: resources and energy, space and mobility, food and health, demography and integration as well as values and ethics. These replace the familiar scale categories of common architectural theory and thus overcome the linear functionalism. Not unexpectedly, utopian, dystopian, but also very humble and reflective projects can result.

Guided project work in the design studio. A seminar week focussing on the studio topic is an integral part of the design studio.

The final grade is calculated according to the weighting of the following components: design project (80%) and final presentation (20%).

• The purpose of this course is twofold: First, invited talks by researchers from other institutions (and, occasionally, from the University of Liechtenstein) bring students in touch with cutting-edge research in their field. Second, students learn how to give an academic discussion of a paper using one of the talks as an example. The discussion will be delivered immediately after the talk in the research colloquium, and students will receive feedback on their performance. Our goal is to provide research colloquia for all specializations, but the course may not be offered for all specializations in each academic year. Students from two specializations may be gathered into one colloquium for organizational reasons. Mit gezielten Strategien sozialer Kompetenz und vielfältigen Interventionsmethoden werden Situationen und Kommunikationsprozesse wirksam gestaltet und für ein ressourcenorientiertes Management nutzbar gemacht. Soft Skills gekonnt anwenden zu können, eröffnet neue berufliche und persönliche Perspektiven. Dazu gehört das selbstverantwortliche und erfolgreiche Handeln in unterschiedlichen Rollen und Settings sowie die selbstbewusste und überzeugende Kommunikation mit verschiedensten Menschen und Menschengruppen (Stakeholder).
