Professional education: 19 diplomas awarded
On Friday, 26 September 2025, 19 graduates of the University of Liechtenstein's professional education programme received their diplomas.
Rector Dr Christian Frommelt and the programme directors presented the academic degrees in the MBA Technology and Innovation and LL.M. in Economic Criminal Law programmes. Associate Professor Dr Sebastian Stöckl, Academic Director of the Liechtenstein Undergraduate and Graduate School, moderated the event.
Dr Maximilian Rüdisser, Managing Director of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave the keynote speech and emphasised: "Regardless of the role you hold today or will hold in the future, critical thinking, reflecting on experiences and observations, and being curious are qualities that will help you and your projects progress and also set you apart."
First degrees in economic criminal law
The Executive Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Economic Criminal Law was launched in September 2023. The University of Liechtenstein has now awarded the first degrees to ten graduates of this innovative programme.
The LL.M. provides in-depth knowledge of Liechtenstein, EEA, European and international commercial criminal law, as well as Liechtenstein administrative and criminal procedure law.
‘The fight against white-collar crime, including cybercrime, is becoming increasingly important. Raising awareness of criminal law risks is more necessary than ever,’ emphasises programme director Prof. Dr. Konstantina Papathanasiou. ‘The LL.M. combines scientific principles with practical application and qualifies students for responsible roles in criminal defence, criminal prosecution, criminal compliance and crime prevention.’
Eighth graduating class of the MBA Technology and Innovation programme
For the eighth time, graduates successfully completed the MBA Technology and Innovation programme. The part-time programme is aimed at executives who want to make their companies fit for the future in times of digital transformation and Industry 4.0/5.0.
"The MBA in Technology and Innovation is a key driver for the economy in the region and beyond," explained Prof. Dr. Leo Brecht, Academic Director of the MBA programme.
