For the University of Liechtenstein, the ERASMUS+ programme represents the most strategically important platform for ensuring internationalisation. As a smaller university, a high degree of internationalisation is essential for maintaining a high-quality academic environment and securing the university’s attractiveness as an educational institution. The expertise gained through various ERASMUS+ project activities, the broad network of contacts and partnerships, the valuable financial resources, and the strong visibility of the established “ERASMUS+ brand” all play a key role in driving forward structural measures that support internationalisation.
By actively participating in ERASMUS+, the university aims to increase student mobility through various formats, to encourage permanent academic staff to take part in ERASMUS teaching mobilities, to support selected key administrative staff through professional development stays abroad, to enhance knowledge exchange and quality through involvement in thematic networks, to initiate new developments via transnational curriculum projects, and to maintain and correctly implement the ECTS and Diploma Supplement systems.
To achieve these goals, the University of Liechtenstein is active in several areas: expanding all mobility measures, improving the conditions for students and academic staff, planning and participating in network projects, and developing innovative curricula within the framework of KA2 projects.
The activities carried out under ERASMUS+ are presented on the university’s website and in its publications, shared internally through information events and social media channels for students and staff, and communicated to the broader public through joint press activities in collaboration with the Agency for International Educational Affairs (AIBA).
The Gender and Diversity Committee works with the Rectorate and other key university stakeholders to develop concepts and measures to ensure gender equality in academic life and employment. The Study Service, the Students Council and the International Office promote social cohesion through joint activities such as international lunches and cultural rotation events.
