Liechtenstein Business School
Mission
We prepare our students to take on leading roles in government and society, politics and business, as well as culture and academia, by supporting talented, motivated and independent young people in their personal growth. We educate highly qualified professionals to the benefit of Liechtenstein, the surrounding region and the international sphere.
In research, we concentrate on selected priority areas, which comprise topics of international interest and regional significance. Our research results achieve great international recognition. The mutual transfer of knowledge between research and practice sharpens Liechtenstein’s competitive edge as a hub for business, academia and culture.
Who We Are
The Liechtenstein Business School (LBS) is the largest faculty at the University of Liechtenstein, specialising in research and teaching in business administration. Our three departments Entrepreneurship and Management, Finance and Economics, and Information Systems and Computer Science cover areas of business administration that are of particular importance for Liechtenstein and the region.
Our Areas of Focus
Labs and Collaborations
At the University of Liechtenstein, labs can be divided into two categories: endowed named labs and thematic labs. Both serve as clearly defined cooperation platforms with a unified presence and consistent communication towards partners from business and society.
Endowed named labs bear the name of their respective sponsor, who holds veto rights in certain matters. These labs typically cover all service areas of the university: teaching, research, professional education and transfer projects.
Thematic labs, on the other hand, focus on clearly defined content-related issues. Specific services (e.g. transfer projects) are individually agreed upon by contract. There are no exclusive rights for individual project partners here, which allows for the involvement of additional cooperation partners.
