Hands-on

In the programme at the Liechtenstein School of Architecture, students regularly work on projects at a 1:1 scale. This form of learning offers the opportunity to implement architectural concepts directly and test them in close collaboration with local craftspeople. This creates an immediate link between design, execution and use.

Unique Expertise

At the Liechtenstein School of Architecture, current research flows directly into teaching, for example through the earth HUB, a centre of expertise for innovative, sustainable construction methods. Students benefit from the close connection between theory and practice: many of our lecturers and professors also run architecture offices and bring their practical experience directly into the classroom.

Pro Bono

In the elective course “Pro Bono”, students work on projects aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Together with partner organisations, they plan and implement initiatives for the common good, both regionally and internationally. In doing so, they take on responsibility and acquire practical skills.

The architecture programme at the University of Liechtenstein combines intensive design training with a rich cultural environment. The campus is located in the heart of the Alps – ideal for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors alongside their studies. Hiking, skiing or climbing are part of everyday life for many students.

At the same time, the region offers a high density of architecture-related events, exhibitions and excursions. Cities such as Zurich, Munich or Milan – important centres of the European architecture scene – can be reached in a short time.

There is also plenty happening on campus itself: public lectures, exhibition openings, workshops and student-organised events create a vibrant atmosphere and encourage exchange within the community.
