The University of Liechtenstein is a small and specialised university. It currently has around 650 students in consecutive programmes and around 225 students in professional education programmes. Its small size enables the University to provide its students with the best possible support from the teaching staff and the University administration.

Further Figures on Consecutive Teaching
All degree programmes in the area of consecutive teaching are offered as full-time study. However, the programmes are designed in such a way that it is possible to pursue employment alongside the studies. According to the student survey, 72 per cent of students are employed while studying. More information on the compatibility of study and employment can be found here.
Since the winter semester 2024/25, students who perform at an international sporting level have been able to benefit from elite athlete status. At present, the University of Liechtenstein counts five elite athletes.
Despite its small size, the University of Liechtenstein is an international university with students from 40 nations. Thirty-five per cent of the students hold Austrian citizenship. Twenty-seven per cent are German nationals, eleven per cent Swiss and ten per cent Liechtenstein nationals. Nearly 35 per cent of students reside in Liechtenstein.
The University regularly conducts surveys of its students and graduates. To the statement “In my opinion, the University of Liechtenstein offers a good education”, 81.4 per cent of students responded with full or partial agreement. Only ten per cent disagreed somewhat, while the remaining nine per cent were neutral.
