Why, How, What

We believe in a better world through education and personal growth. That’s why we foster an inspiring learning environment and support student engagement.

Through education, we gain information and generate knowledge – about content and processes. Through personal development, we shape our worldview and our understanding of others. With these experiences, we are empowered to shape the future – sustainably and for the better.

We take a proactive approach: we listen to our fellow students, gather their concerns and interests, and represent them within the university.

We advocate for students in various university bodies – including the Rectorate, Senate, institute meetings and university committees – and maintain ongoing dialogue with lecturers and staff. When urgent issues arise, students are encouraged to first address them directly with the relevant contacts. If no solution is found, the ULSV steps in. We see ourselves as a bridge between students and the many contact points at the university.

We’ve got your back – so that you can focus on learning, growing and making the most of your time at university.

We are committed to maintaining a high-quality university environment, fostering an inspiring learning landscape, and encouraging our fellow students to stay motivated and engaged.

This includes the atmosphere in lectures and design studios, the contribution of dedicated lecturers to students’ learning success, and the university’s organisational and administrative framework. It also encompasses the students themselves – and the infrastructure that supports diverse learning styles. This means access to spaces for creative work, collaboration, focused individual study or quiet retreat.

We firmly believe that valuable learning and personal development also happen outside the classroom through conversations with peers and by pursuing personal projects. That’s why we actively promote a vibrant campus life where students can network, exchange ideas, develop projects, try new things or simply talk about life.

Our Three Core Pillars

To achieve our goals, we interact with and advocate within the University of Liechtenstein based on three core pillars.

  • Teaching: Faculty and Course Content
  • Processes, Organisation, and Administration

Both the way content is delivered and the content itself are central to the learning experience at the university. That’s why we focus primarily on these aspects to best support students’ academic success.

The university’s structures and processes are designed to maintain and continually improve learning quality, while also easing the workload for staff and simplifying day-to-day operations — allowing all of us to focus on what really matters: learning and personal growth.

  • First point of contact for student concerns and questions
  • Transparent communication and exchange
  • Networking, projects, engagement & co-creation
  • Campus life and infrastructure
  • Awards and recognition

We serve as a point of contact for students, acting as a mediator between the student body and the university. Our aim is to remove barriers and create space so that learning and research can flow again.

Social skills such as networking, negotiation, persuasiveness, and the ability to inspire others are essential both professionally and personally. That’s why we see an active campus life as a vital platform to apply and strengthen these skills. For this to succeed, the academic curriculum must provide enough flexibility to allow students to engage meaningfully in campus life.

Focus on long-term solutions, not symptom management

We actively contribute to the university environment and play a committed role within the student community.

In all our initiatives, we aim for sustainable, long-term impact rather than short-term fixes. Our actions are guided by ecological responsibility and the principle of harmony between people and nature.
