Internship Abroad
As part of the EU education programme Erasmus+, you can work in another European country for a period of 2 to 12 months per study cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate) during your studies and gain professional experience. The Erasmus+ mobility grant is a contribution towards covering living costs in the host country and is not intended as a full scholarship.
Note
Graduates can undertake an internship abroad within one year after completing their degree. However, they must apply for the internship while still enrolled. The internship can help facilitate entry into professional life.
- Timely Submission of Documents
- For internships abroad that are a mandatory part of your degree programme, please clarify the procedure directly with your respective programme administration.
- Minimum duration: two full months. The maximum duration of your funding also depends on how many Erasmus+ mobility months you still have available. You are entitled to a maximum of 12 months per study cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate). Stays are calculated on a daily basis.
All required documents must be submitted no later than 4 weeks before the start of the internship abroad.
After successfully securing an internship, please register in our Mobility Online system:

For study stays in Europe, you are eligible for an Erasmus+ mobility grant, which is provided by the Agency for International Educational Affairs (AIBA) within the framework of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and disbursed by the International Office.
Once the final report and the confirmation of stay have been submitted, the second instalment of your grant will be paid out.
