Das Modul Masterthesis setzt sich zusammen aus:
a) der Masterthesis

b) dem Kolloquium zur Masterthesis
Das Kolloquium dient zur Überprüfung des bisherigen Fortschritts und der Statusermittlung. Das Kolloquium wird als Einzelpräsentation mündlich durchgeführt und dauert 30 Minuten.
Im Kolloquium wird eine Präsentation durchgeführt, in der die Forschungsfrage und der Weg zur Problemlösung vorgestellt werden. Die Präsentation soll in der Struktur mit der Schlusspräsentation vergleichbar sein. Am Ende der Präsentation können offene Fragen besprochen werden.
Für das Kolloquium werden Gruppen gebildet. Alle Teilnehmer der Gruppe sind von Beginn bis zum Schluss der Präsentation der Gruppenmitglieder anwesend. Folgende Unterlagen sind mitzubringen:
1. Eingereichtes Exposé (1 Exemplar für Gutachter)
2. Aktuelles Inhaltsverzeichnis (1 Exemplar für Gutachter)
3. Folien der Präsentation (5-6 Exemplare für Studienleiter, Gutachter und Gruppenmitglieder)
4. Fragebogen/Interviewleitfaden (5-6 Exemplare für Studienleiter, Gutachter und Gruppenmitglieder)
5. Aktuelles Literaturverzeichnis (1 Exemplar für Gutachter)

c) der Präsentation und Verteidigung der Masterthesis
In der Präsentation und Verteidigung der Masterthesis weist der Studierende die Befähigung wissenschaftlicher Arbeitsweise sowie die für die Ausübung des Berufes erforderlichen fachlichen Kompetenzen und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten nach.

In der Masterthesis wird ein studiengangsspezifisches Problem auf wissenschaftlicher Grundlage selbständig erarbeitet.

Kolloquium
Das Kolloquium zur Masterthesis dient der Prüfung der Authentizität sowie der Ermittlung des Fortschrittes der Arbeit.
Bei Nichtbestehen des Kolloquiums kann die Masterthesis nicht weiter bearbeitet werden. Die Modulprüfung gilt als nicht bestanden. Ein neues Exposé kann eingereicht werden.

Präsentation und Verteidigung der Masterthesis
Die Präsentation und Verteidigung dauert maximal 45 Minuten und ist öffentlich.
Die Benotung der Master-Thesis setzt sich aus der Note für die schriftliche Arbeit und der Note für die Präsentation und Verteidigung im Verhältnis 70 zu 30 zusammen.
Hat der Studierende die Master-Thesis nicht bestanden, so kann er dieses Modul frühestens zum nächstmöglichen Prüfungstermin wiederholen. Eine zweite Wiederholung ist nicht möglich und das Masterstudium gilt als endgültig nicht bestanden.

• Meeting attendance obligations is an essential pre-requisite for successfully completing a course based on continuous assessment.
• Attendance must be proven for at least 80% of the stipulated contact time. Responsibility for checking and providing written proof of this obligatory attendance lies with the course lecturer who is required to store this information at least until the end of the semester.
• In the case of absenteeism that exceeds the specified limits of absence, a medical certificate is required. Responsibility lies with the head of the Coordination Office for Cross-Faculty Elective Subjects to approve the reason for the student's failure to attend.
• Participation in other activities of the university are not recognized as an excused absence.

• Architektonisch konstruktiver Entwurf mit konkreter Aufgabenstellung aus dem Themenfeld der Modulgruppe D im Kontext der relevanten für die Umsetzung der Aufgabe wichtigen Parameter.
• Integrierende Themen der Modulgruppe D werden in der Entwurfsaufgabe bearbeitet und durch einen Fachdozenten aus dem Themengebiet der Modulgruppe D direkt begleitet.
• Prozessorientierte Vorgehensweise in der Analyse der Aufgabe und der Entwicklung von zukunftsweisenden Konzepten.
• Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Fragen aus dem Themenfeld der Konstruktion, Tektonik sowie Tragwerksplanung.

Projektentwürfe mit Präsentation und Kritik sowie Mitarbeit im Unterricht ( 60%) ; Integrationsarbeit ( 20% ); Thesis – Portfolio (20%); Die Teilnote Projektentwürfe mit Präsentation und Kritik sowie Mitarbeit im Unterricht muss zwingend positiv sein um das Modul zu bestehen.

The focus of this module is on the basic elements of visual communication and the creation of a strong brand for the practice of architecture. Particular attention is paid to the relationship of how architecture communicates to the outside world and how it wants to be seen. Interdisciplinary approaches are analyzed and critically questioned to understand what is the right message to what sort of work.

Students will take part in workshops and lectures to develop skills for visual communication in a practical way. Topics like typography, text, wording, imaging, photography, communication strategies will be absorbed, analyzed and discussed. Students will be able to develop topic-relevant techniques to translate original architectural ambitions and ideas into different forms of communication.

The principles of visual communication in architecture are being discussed and assessed. Further, the ability to successfully apply visualization tools is being fostered.
