Learning Objectives
In the module "Systems Modelling", students learn specific competences allowing them to describe information systems for the support of business processes. A focus is placed on methods of object-oriented modelling which are of highest importance in practice. On the basis of existing models and business-related information, they are able to create object-oriented software systems which are the founding principles for the systems implementation (cf. Module "Systems Development"). They are able to both evaluate the use of modelling in a company context, process and IT-system, and to deepen their knowledge in the overall context (cf. "Module "Business Process Analysis").
The students employ the necessary methods and tools confidently for modelling purposes. They have learned to distinguish the various degrees of abstraction and are able to draft project specific resp. project overarching components.
