Data and Application Security
We develop methods to protect digital systems through intelligent and adaptive technologies, in particular at the interface between cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Our team researches both fundamental and application-oriented aspects of cyber defence:
How do attacks work? How can they be detected? And how can systems continue to operate reliably despite attacks?
In close collaboration with partners from academia and industry, we translate our research findings into practical solutions for current security challenges.
Research Topics
Teaching and Professional Education
Our teaching focuses on education in cybersecurity and information systems, predominantly in master's and doctoral degree programmes. We place particular emphasis on practice-oriented learning and the development of research-oriented skills.
Prof. Dr. Pavel Laskov is the academic director of the master's degree programme in Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein.
Our team is involved in compulsory and elective courses of this degree programme on topics relating to data and application security. In addition, we promote professional education and public awareness, for example through training for professionals and initiatives to raise cybersecurity awareness from an early age.
