Interactive lectures

The participants get to know the basic concepts, theories and models of intercultural communication. They become acquainted with the dimensions of national cultures and know how values in a culture develop. They understand the connection between values, behaviour and communication. They are able to analyse their own and foreign conversational situations, assess and evaluate the parameters. They appropriate for themselves the necessary cultural awareness, thereby enabling themselves to interact correctly in as unprejudiced a manner as possible according to the situation. In this way, they create for themselves a setting that enables them to act sensitively and successfully in intercultural contact. In addition, they are capable of integrating this knowledge into intercultural cooperation and global management.

Die Studierenden wenden in New York und Washington D.C. die erworbenen Kenntnisse des Trustrechts an und setzen sich mit den aktuellen Thematiken in Bezug auf die Vereinigten Staaten im Rahmen von Workshops namhafter Universitäten, Organisationen, Botschaften und Trustcompanies auseinander. Das vor Ort erworbene Fachwissen wird verbunden mit dem bereits im Studiengang erlangten Kenntnissen und im Rahmen eines Essays erörtert.

Module 5 starts by looking at the fundamentals of Individual Portfolio Management (MiFID) and Collective Investment Undertakings (UCITSD, AIFMD, IORPD). Participants will cover the law of fund and individual asset and wealth management (differentiation between wealth management and individual investments) as well as the law of depositaries and more general notions of fund governance.

Module 5 is an elective module and offers the opportunity to choose any module from the other Executive Master programs in International Taxation, Company, Foundation and Trust Law and the EMBA in International Asset Management. This approach allows participants to strengthen their professional skills according to their individual preference.
