Interdisciplinary Elective Modules (CFE)

The interdisciplinary elective modules give you the opportunity to explore new perspectives beyond your field of study. Choose from topics in the social and cultural sciences, strengthen your soft skills, or improve your language proficiency in our language courses. This offering is open to all students and complements the electives in your degree programme with valuable additional competencies.

Registration Rules

  • Registration is final and binding. First come, first served.
  • The maximum number of participants is 25 or 40 for workshops and seminars, and 20 for language courses.
  • A minimum attendance of 80% is required for all workshops, seminars and language courses.
  • Students who register but do not attend the course will receive a failing grade.
  • Registrations and changes are not possible after the deadlines have passed.
  • Workshops and seminars with fewer than 8 participants will be cancelled.
  • Please avoid registering for courses that conflict with your individual study schedule.
  • Please refrain from registering if you are unable to attend (“no shows”).

The interdisciplinary elective modules are graded according to the same system as the other modules in the degree programmes. Modules completed at other universities that are recognised as interdisciplinary elective modules will be recorded as “passed”.

The Guidelines outline the rules for registration and participation in the interdisciplinary elective modules.

The University of Liechtenstein offers online courses as part of the Interdisciplinary Elective Modules. These courses are developed in cooperation with the company Coursera. They can be completed flexibly throughout the semester, independent of time and location.

Specific regulations apply to these online courses. These will be published here in the coming days.
