Centre for Philanthropy

The Centre for Philanthropy sees itself as an academic centre of competence, a pathfinder for practice and a bridge-builder between different stakeholders on the topic of philanthropy in Liechtenstein. The work of the Centre is based on three pillars: research, teaching and consulting.

Building on Liechtenstein’s rich traditions of giving, the Centre researches and conveys existing and future forms of philanthropy.

The Centre for Philanthropy conducts research for and on the philanthropy hub Liechtenstein, recording actors, engagements and framework conditions both qualitatively and quantitatively. It analyses global knowledge and megatrends in the field of philanthropy.

The theme of teaching plays a central role at the Centre for Philanthropy. Among other things, in block seminars (interdisciplinary elective courses) in bachelor's and master's degree programmes as well as in professional education, including within the framework of the LL.M. and the EMBA programme, the Centre imparts expertise on philanthropy and the management of charitable foundations and provides insights into current debates.

As part of its transfer activities, the Centre for Philanthropy sees itself as the primary point of contact for the future topic of philanthropy. Issues include, among others, the further development of the philanthropy hub Liechtenstein as well as individual charitable initiatives.
