The research and teaching programme of the Professorship in Economic Criminal Law, Compliance and Digitalisation, led by Prof. Dr. Konstantina Papathanasiou, LL.M., covers all issues of national, European and international economic criminal law, including aspects of criminal procedure law. The study of criminal liability in business-related activities also extends to company-specific compliance requirements as well as developments in the digital sphere. A particular focus is placed on cybercrime (including criminal law issues relating to the token economy, blockchain and AI) and on the economic criminal law aspects of cybersecurity and resilience.
