Project Description
  • Identification of a research problem and development of a research questionThematically formulating a problem and developing a solution through application of - scientific methods Independence in handling a research problem determined in the course of an assessment.Discussion with the advisor about methodological and content issues in solving a research - topic.Completion of a comprehensive assignment where the students deal with a theoretical or - practice-oriented problem in their field of specialisation by drawing on scientific work methods. Completion of presentation documentation on a research problem within their specialised - field. Defense of the elaborated research topic and in-depth discussion with the examination board.
Learning Results
After completion of the module, the students have acquired a detailed knowledge and a critical understanding of their research topic. They have at their disposal specialised knowledge of methods and procedures for processing data and explaining it in a structured manner.
Furthermore, they exhibit originality and creativity in the application of their knowledge.

The students complete research and development projects, applying specialised research methods, survey and development techniques by drawing on their previously acquired skills.
Additionally, they present the significant findings of their project to academic and real economy specialists, thereby utilising various communication methods in order to illustrate complex data on a scientific level.

Upon positive evaluation of the thesis module the Master's degree is awarded to the candidate.

Learning Objectives
  • Konkretisierung und Bearbeiten eines Forschungsproblems, ausgedrückt anhand einer Forschungsfrage.
  • Entwicklung einer Problemlösung zur definierten Forschungsfrage anhand der wissenschaftlichen Methodik des Faches.
  • Eigenständige Literaturrecherche, Auswertung, Diskussion und Abgrenzung der Literatur.
  • Diskussion mit dem Gutachter / der Gutachterin über methodische und inhaltliche Fragen zur Lösung der Forschungsfrage.
  • Eigenständiges Verfassen einer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit.
  • Präsentation des eigenen Forschungsvorhabens und der Ergebnisse.
  • Verteidigung der Thesis und Fachdiskussion mit der Prüfungskommission.

Für die Anmeldung zum Modul Bachelorthesis muss das Modul Research Methods II erfolgreich absolviert sein.
Assessment Methods
Für die Anmeldung zur LV "Erstellung BT" wird das im Modul Research Methods II erstellte und durch den/die Gutachter/in und die Studienleitung freigegebene Exposé als Grundlage herangezogen.

Falls Sie ein verändertes Exposé als Basis ihrer BT verwenden möchten, ist ein erneuter Freigabeprozess notwendig. Dieser muss spätestens bis zur Anmeldefrist des Moduls abgeschlossen sein. Der Prozess ist durch den Studierenden anzustossen und zu betreiben. Bitte kontaktieren Sie in diesem Fall umgehend die Modulleitung.

Studierende melden sich eigenständig zum Modul an, die Anmeldung zur Lehrveranstaltung "Erstellung Bachelorthesis" erfolgt durch den Studienservice, wenn ein positiv beurteiltes Exposé vorliegt.


Bachelorthesis: 70% (schriftlich)
Präsentation und Verteidigung: 30% (mündlich vor Gremium)
Grade
Studierende können sich nur für das Modul selbständig anmelden. Eine Anmeldung für die Lehrveranstaltung "Erstellung" und "Präsentation und Verteidigung" erfolgt in einem zweiten Schritt durch die Studienservices nach Prüfung der Zugangsvoraussetzungen.

Project Description
This module supports the development of communicative competence in Spanish on level A1 (cf. CEFR descriptors).

Students who have a language level B1 (cf. CEFR) or higher in Spanish are not allowed to participate in the course.

Assessment Methods
- Die Assessments bestehen aus schriftlichen/mündlichen Aufgaben, Vokabeltests und kurzen Präsentationen. Sie machen 30% der Endnote aus.
- Die Schlussprüfung besteht aus verschiedenen Teilen: Grammatik, Leseverständnis, Vokabular, schriftlicher Ausdruck und mündlicher Ausdruck. Sie macht 70% der Endnote aus.

In this course, student groups work on solving a current and relevant practical problem in finance. The problem is provided by a project owner, typically a financial services company or a faculty member with practical experience. Students will apply complex theoretical concepts to develop a satisfying solution to the given problem.

Following a short introduction to international economics, the module provides an understanding of the basic principles of international trade, trade policy and international finance. In detail the contents of the module include:

Learning Objectives
The students will develop an understanding of of the basic principles of international trade, trade policy and international finance.
Furthermore, they will test theories of international economics to explain past developments in world trade and finance. This will enable them to judge the applicability of theoretical approaches in international economics to evaluate and predict future behavior of market participants
