The field of activity of the chair held by Prof. Dr. iur. Alexandra Butterstein, LL.M., covers Liechtenstein, European and international company, foundation and trust law. In addition, the research focus of the chair extends to comparative law, private international law and private law cross-cutting areas such as contract or inheritance law, as well as issues in the context of digitalisation.

Within the framework of a comparative law research approach, innovative solutions from the legal systems of neighbouring states as well as from the Anglo-American legal sphere are scientifically elaborated and placed in a concrete practical context.
