Im Modul wird das physikalische Wissen und technische Planen zielführend auf eine nachhaltige Bauweise ausge-richtet. Es werden bestehende einfache, material- und strukturhomogene Gebäude konstruktiv untersucht und analysiert. Anhand von vorhandenen Detailplänen und Unterlagen zum Gebäude sowie einer Besichtigung vor Ort werden die Informationen in eigenen Detailzeichnungen und Modellen festgehalten und entsprechend verortet. Im Zentrum steht eine disziplinar vernetzte Betrachtung des Gebäudes, in der alle Bauteile ihre Funktionen erfül-len und im Zusammenspiel zwischen Tragwerk und Baukonstruktion den gewünschten architektonischen Ausdruck definieren und auszudrücken vermögen. Die Gewichtung der Betrachtung und Analyse liegt in den verschiedenen, prinzipiellen Konstruktionsweisen und deren Nachhaltigkeit.

Business Process Analysis focuses on process analysis, covering approaches and methods for designing, analysing, and simulating processes in organisations. The course covers four primary topics:

• Introduction to process analysis
• Process modelling and design
• Process flow analysis

The course is an introduction to the field of Finance, reiterating the most important concepts from a bachelor's degree with a focus on Finance. It builds on the time value of money principle and applies it to the valuation of bonds, interest rates, and capital budgeting. The course also highlights some of the most significant markets for financial instruments. The main goal is to establish a strong foundation for understanding the key concepts of Finance.

• The purpose of this course is twofold: First, invited talks by researchers from other institutions (and, occasionally, from the University of Liechtenstein) bring students in touch with cutting-edge research in their field. Second, students learn how to give an academic presentation of one of their research papers. Students will receive feedback on their performance. Our goal is to provide research colloquia for all specializations, but the course may not be offered for all specializations in each academic year. Students from two specializations may be gathered into one colloquium for organizational reasons. Finance Research Seminar

Das Modul Innovations- & Technologiemanagement II zeigt auf, wie Innovationen aus Kunden bzw. Marktsicht generiert und erfolgreich am Markt platziert werden. Den Teilnehmern werden grundlegende Prozesse und praxiserprobte Methoden des Produkt- und Life-Cycle-Managements vermittelt. Der Kurs ist unterteilt in Product-Life-Cycle Strategien und deren operative Umsetzung. Die Product-Life-Cycle Strategien umfassen neueste Methode zu Market Analytics, zur strategischen Produktpositionierung, zur Profitabilität und zum Value Proposition Design. Die operative Umsetzung widmet sich der Ideengenerierung, der Spezifikation, der Entwicklung und dem Markttest, sowie dem Markt Launch, dem Sales Support und dem Phase-out. Ebenfalls werden agile Entwicklungsprinzipien wie etwa der hybride PEP behandelt. Die Veranstaltung fokussiert vor allem auf B2B Märkte und verdeutlicht die Inhalte anhand einen Vielzahl von Praxisbeispielen und Break-out Sessions, um das Erlernte anzuwenden und in die Praxis zu transformieren.

Das Modul Corporate Entrepreneurship gliedert sich in zwei Themengebiete. Am ersten Tag wird die zentrale Frage adressiert, wie das bestehende Geschäft durch Innovation und Wachstum weiterentwickelt werden kann. Dabei wird insbesondere auf die Abstimmung der Ziele, Strategien und Strukturen eingegangen. Am zweiten Tag stehen Optionen zur radikalen Transformation des Geschäftsmodells im Mittelpunkt, wobei das Augenmerk auf möglichen Transformationspfaden, der Veränderung der Leistung für den Kunden, sowie der Anpassung der Architektur im Hintergrund liegt.

Die jüngsten Ereignisse in der Governance-Praxis haben gezeigt, dass sich die Anforderungen an den Verwaltungsrat stark verändert haben. In diesem Modul werden aktuelle Probleme der gegenwärtigen VR-Praxis aufgezeigt, Anforderungen an die zukünftige Gestaltung ermittelt und neue praxiserprobte integrierte Konzepte der wirksamen Führung und Aufsicht von Unternehmen vorgestellt und diskutiert. Darüber hinaus wird ein komprimierter Überblick über die wesentlichen Rechtsbereiche vermittelt, mit denen Führungskräfte im Geschäftsleben konfrontiert werden. Schwerpunkte werden in den Bereichen Gesellschaftsrecht, Vertragsrecht und Arbeitsrecht gesetzt. Im Einzelnen werden die Grundlagen der Corporate Governance mit der Vertiefung in Definition, Konzepte, Zielsetzungen, Instrumente, theoretische Bezugsfelder und Entwicklungstendenzen behandelt, die Steuerungsaufgaben und Steuerungsrollen mit der Spezialisierung in normative, strategische und operative Planung und Kontrolle, Inhaber-, Verwaltungsrats- und Geschäftsleitungsrolle betrachtet, die personellen Aspekte von Corporate Governance, die sich aus der Besetzung, Überwachung und Honorierung von Verwaltungsrat und Geschäftsleitung zusammensetzt und die Grundlagen des Gesellschafts-, Vertrags- und Arbeitsrechts erläutert.

Essay

In Project Seminar, students analyse a real-world case from a specific industry. Students divide into groups according to their preferences and work on one of four cases through the lens of process management, data and application security, data science, or digital innovation. The course topics change from semester to semester.

• The faculty and a jury of representatives from regional companies evaluate the students’ solutions in terms of innovativeness and usefulness and provide them with feedback and advice.

In the viva voce examination the doctoral student proves that he/she meets the requirements on the dissertation by publically defending his/her dissertation.

The Chairperson of the Board of Examiners, the supervisor and the co-supervisor(s) shall determine a grade for the viva voce examination.

The module aims at understanding technology and innovation management in companies, answering questions such as the definition of innovation and how it can be promoted or the connection between strategy and innovation. In addition to inputs in general lecture style, the students will develop and prototype a product or service based on a given technology.
